Infants

At Christina’s Child Care Center, we have carefully created an environment to enhance, stimulate and engage our infant children. Bright colors, vivid pictures, soft cuddly toys and playthings are always available to spark their imagination and promote exploration. In the course of each day, we focus on building our infants word, voice, and sound recognition by reading stories and rhymes, singing them songs, and letting them listen to music.

Under the watchful eyes of our patient and loving caregivers, our infants are guided through a daily series of fun activities specially designed to develop activities will assist your baby to roll over, sit up, crawl, climb, and eventually walk. Here at Christina’s Child Care Center, we stock a huge supply of hugs, laughs and loving words of praise and encouragement to help nurture your infants growth and development.

To ensure a smooth transition from home to school and back home again, the caregivers at Christina’s Child Care Center will communicate with you on an individual basis. You provide us with your baby’s daily routine, and we will use that as a guide for your baby’s day with us.

Toddlers

A toddler is always on the go and that is just fine. We keep them busy with both group and individual activities tailored to the expanding mind of your child. We allow children to explore and investigate their surrounding in a safe and controlled environment.

We allow toddlers to participate in as much daily activities as they like, from helping plate meals to assisting in cleaning up after themselves. We spend a lot of time focusing on reading and learning about the world around us.

We do many hands on activities from painting and drawing to singing and playing with other children.

Preschoolers

Beyond any doubt, young children learn from experiences, actions, observations, and interactions with people and things. At Christina’s Child Care Center, our focus is on each child’s needs and development. Our program has a written curriculum based on the knowledge of a child’s development.

The daily activities for the children Reflect our program’s philosophy and goals. We foster independence by encouraging children to think, reason, question, and experiment. Our staff assists children in using language to deal with their feelings. Social skills are developed by learning to cooperate, help, take turns, and talk through problem solving.

Our staff will communicate with you on a daily basis regarding your child’s social, emotional, educational and physical progress. Twice a year we evaluate your child in writing with a progress report and conferences are always available. We encourage you to become involved in our program by being volunteers for special events and field trips. Parents and other family members are welcomed visitors in our center at all times.

Our Pre-K students will also be involved in Reading and Math Readiness programs. Reading Readiness consists of the alphabet, phonics, vocabulary building, and sensory discrimination. Math Readiness covers number recognition, measurements, and simple addition/subtraction. Other topics covered during the Pre-K school year are community helpers, safety awareness, movement and dancing, art, computers and science. Children excel in Kindergarten with the head start they receive at Christina’s Child Care Center.

Before And After School

Centers provide a safe, well-supervised and loving atmosphere for your elementary school age child. Working parents can put their minds at ease knowing that their child is actively involved in dance, gym, computers, arts and crafts and much, much more.

In addition to all of these exciting activities, Christinas Child Care after School Program provides help with homework for the children who need that little extra support. Children arriving in the morning for the Before School Program This Program include a nutritious breakfast and an afternoon snack. Students are welcome to bring breakfast and join their friends for early morning fun. We will make sure they arrive safely and on time for school.

Our before and after School Program can be extended on school holidays and early dismissal days with advance notice. Feel secure knowing that while you are at work, your child is in a familiar and safe surrounding, and fully supervised.

The parents of 18 million children would enroll their children in an afterschool program if one were available. In the state of Minnesota, the need is overwhelming. Our family support center will conduct a full scale afterschool program. Among the 911,314 school age children in Minnesota 32% ( 294,354) of K-12 children are responsible for taking care of themselves afterschool. 12% ( 113,003) are involved in an afterschool program. 33% (263,443) of children not involved in a program would be likely to join if a program were available.  Afterschool Alliance, America After 3 PM, 2009.

What Our Families are Saying

I absolutely love this center! I’ve never really like daycare but at Christina’s it doesn’t even feel like dropping your kids off at a center but more like to a family member. They love the kids and not only is it a fun atmosphere for the kids they incorporate learning to get your kids ready for kindergarten as well. It is such a blessing to have such a wonderful place to take my kids when I’m working and know they are being loved and taken care of.

Amara King

Both my boys have been going there since they were at babies. It’s a great family friendly atmosphere. They work with you and really love their kids there. I’m glad to have my boys be part of there family.

I was very happy with christinas child care. My son was in the infant room and i was very pleased with the clean atmosphere and welcoming staff. They were flexible with my schedule and i love the hours of operation due to my work schedule. I wish i was closer so i could bring my son back.
