Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement daily educational and developmental activities appropriate for the assigned age group.
  • Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Observe, assess, and document each child’s growth and development; maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and daily activities.
  • Supervise Assistant Teachers and Aides, ensuring that classroom operations run smoothly.
  • Follow all state and center policies regarding health, safety, and licensing.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
  • Model positive behavior, respect, and cooperation for children and staff.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or higher.
  • College credits or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a licensed child care setting.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
