Lead Infant Teacher
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement daily educational and developmental activities appropriate for the assigned age group.
- Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s growth and development; maintain accurate records.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and daily activities.
- Supervise Assistant Teachers and Aides, ensuring that classroom operations run smoothly.
- Follow all state and center policies regarding health, safety, and licensing.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
- Model positive behavior, respect, and cooperation for children and staff.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or higher.
- College credits or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a licensed child care setting.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
